Shame on you David Beckham! A nine year old New Jersey boy has been left heartbroken because he was not able to meet his idol “Becks” for his birthday.

Worse yet his mother Jeanne Kelly bid $7,000 at a Feb. 2nd auction that aides Charley’s Fund which raises money to cure Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, in order to arrange this meet and greet.

The package, a present for Kelly’s son, Conor’s, birthday, was to include round-trip flights and two nights at an LA hotel for them both, with Beckham to meet the boy and sign a jersey for him. Mother and child were also promised two VIP field seats to Saturday night’s Galaxy game.

In response, Beckham’s agent, Jeff Raymond, says neither Beckham nor the Galaxy was even informed of the event and, “It’s unfortunate they lost their money. David would never not honor charity he was supposed to do.”

Well to that I say, THEN HONOR IT!
